This website contains a brief record of the life and work of Chaplain (Col.) Horace Sams, Jr., who served as a protestant chaplain in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1979.
For the historian, may it provide some relevant source material that sheds light on the real world of an ordinary chaplain working in the latter half of the 20th century.
For the young minister or Bible scholar, may it provide a library of sermons—50 years' worth—from which to draw ideas and inspiration.
And for Horace's family and friends, may it always remind us of his faith, love, and unshakable convictions.
